In a series of 6 Architectural Design V-IX courses, together with a small group of students, we investigate how the use of immersive tools influence our way of designing, perceiving and talking about space.
We are used to designing architecture from a supposedly objective perspective. With immersive technologies, we overcome this distance, expand our perception and immerse ourselves directly in the space to be designed. In doing so, we will develop an altered understanding of space in which we digitally design architecture and its construction while simultaneously moving within it.
In the Immersive Studio we critically reflect the potentials of these technologies beyond a pure efficiency thinking and develop an independent and emancipated attitude towards them.
